A Tree in the forest is a collection of Ajahn Chah’s similies. He was born in 1918 in a small village in Northern Thailand. He practised meditation under a number of masters. He later started teaching himself in a very simple and straightforward way. One of his methods was to educate his pupils through stories. Here is a collection of them for free download, 118 pages:
