Buddhist Suttas: Here are loads of goodies for the ones who read Sustras like others watch television. These 15 books contain hundreds of poems, instructions, fairy tales and deep insights. A random beauty I picked up last night:
“The tongue is burning, favors are burning, gustative consciousness is burning, gustative impression is burning, also whatever sensation, pleasant or painful or neither painful nor pleasant, arises on account of the gustative impression, that too is burning. Burning with what? Burning with the fire of craving…”
Another one:
“You shouldn’t chase after the past or place expectations on the future. What is past is left behind. The future is as yet unreached. Whatever quality is present you clearly see right there, right there. Not taken in, unshaken, that’s how you develop the heart. Ardently doing what should be done today, for — who knows? — tomorrow death. There is no bargaining with Mortality & his mighty horde. Whoever lives thus ardently, relentlessly both day & night, has truly had an auspicious day: so says the Peaceful Sage.”
Sutta is the Pali word for Sutra and it literately means thread or line that holds things together. The word has a direct connection to the latin word suere and the English to sew. Each book is about 300 pages – get the MegaPack og Buddhist Suttas here:

I am one of very few Buddhists in my country Nigeria with a population of over 220 million “lost” sentient beings. I hope to create awareness about this wonderful and fulfilling path. May all beings be happy
You’re not alone my dear Friend, also a Nigerian, I come here once in need of something to stimulate my spiritual path, right here I found Urantia a book where I got a most revealing and profound experience, I’m happy to be a part of you in country and in taste for books.
How have you found the insights this website shares and how have your spiritual path been, for me a hectic one, since I soon discovered I thread a road least taken, I’m afraid the world is yet to understand or rather Become. I find that once one tastes from the sweet nectars of spirituality he himself becomes a fool to many many things else. regarding them vanely.
I am not inclined to Buddhism or anyone particular of such, just walking past these libraries and taking all wisdom as a true mentor of mine (thaoth) said, he gathered many wisdom.
I do seek to put practice shoes on ceaselessly, but who can wish for samadhi when the water in fire is boiling and the stones too hot to keep the feet on. Such is the state I’m tinkering with but soon to press on still because daily I find, that no one really bothers another save by his own internal selF.
such a wonderful and generous work
