VOL 1 is 17 MB and the pages are scanned rather than text-format. This is too much to handle for most build in pdf-readers in browsers. I suggest you try to right click the link and choose “save as”. Then save the file on you desktop and open it with you pdf-reader.

I brings up the first page only and II never makes it past loading.

Would you fix whatever is preventing these from reading or downloading.
