What was hidden from the wise and prudent is revealed to the babes and suckling. You mention Psalm 83…doesn’t psalm 83 speak about the hidden ones. If you read the Kebra Negast you would understand who those hidden ones are.

Have you considered that many Christians consider the bible a book of history. The world’s oldest and most complete Bible consisting of over 100 books as opposed to the 66 in the Protestant bible which most people are aware of had it’s origin in Ethiopia. It is quite probable that the author of the Kebra Negast
may have used the Ethiopian Bible as a major source document in writing the Kebra Negast.

“There is a book which contains the Law of the whole of Ethiopia. I pray you to find out who has got this book, for in my country my people will now obey my orders without it.”

… There is a typographical error. The word “now” should be corrected to “not”, so that it reads:

“There is a book which contains the Law of the whole of Ethiopia. I pray you to find out who has got this book, for in my country my people will not obey my orders without it.”

I thought I should comment on something that seems important.

“Kebra Nagast” is an ancient book. It is indeed an important part of Ethiopian tradition and culture. But it is not a book of history. History and ancient literature are not the same thing.

Those who want to study the history of their country, it is better to read a book of history. I propose that one should try to read at least three books.

Of course, it is a very good idea to read Kebra Nagast also. But one should understand it in his mind as ancient literature and as a cultural tradition, not as history.
