The Workings of Kamma by Pa-Auk Tawya Sayadaw from the Pa-Auk Forrest Monestary in Myanmar (Burma) is an in depth explanation of the concepts of Kamma or Karma. The book uses stories, suttas, graphical illustrations and dhamma talks from the monestary to underline its conclusions. From the book:
The dog is wearing a clog, and is tied close by a rope, which means it cannot release itself from the strong post. In the same way, the uneducated, ordinary person is wearing the clog of a firmly held identity view (sakkāya di hi), and is tied close by the rope of craving (tahā). That means the uneducated, ordinary person cannot get released from the strong post of the five clinging-aggregates (pañc·upādāna·kkhandha). cannot get released from the round of rebirth (sa sāra).
