Easy Journey to other Planets is quite amusing and at the same time rather sad. It intends to document the power of Bhakti Yoga, but the entire basis is an unsubstantiated criticism of modern science. The publisher, the Hare Krishna Movement, still insists that NASA’s moon landing was a fake and that man’s inspiration to travel to other worlds can only be attained by the practice of Bhakti yoga. Srila Prabhupada originally wrote Easy Journey to Other Planets in the 1960’s at the height of the Apollo space program and the book is dedicated to “Scientists of the World”. Srila Prabhupada also incorporates the, at that time, newly discovered science of antimatter and he chats away about how nothing of this is new, everything has been discovered in ancient time if you read the Bhagavad Gita the right way.
Throughout the book, Srila Prabhupada weaves a narrative that blends ancient wisdom with his interpretation of contemporary science, often highlighting how the spiritual dimension supersedes the materialistic pursuits of humanity. While some readers may appreciate this philosophical perspective, others might find the book’s outright rejection of scientific achievements—such as space travel—at odds with its stated dedication to scientists.
Despite its contentious claims, Easy Journey to Other Planets remains an important work within the Hare Krishna tradition, offering a glimpse into how spiritual traditions engage with modernity.

This book says in a nutshell that the mechanical space travel, the peak of the modern materialistic lifestyle, is a an expensive joke because the human body isn’t suited for other than earthly environment and the whole
materialistic society strives in vain to be permanently happy in the non-permanent world.

Easy Journey was written originally in two parts in 1959 and 1960. Not at “the height of the Apollo space program”. Educate yourself properly before you write something. Otherwise you are the amusing and sad fellow here :)
