The Manuals of Ledi Dipanu

The Manuals of Ledi Dipanu is a huge work by the Burmese monk Ledi Sayadaw. He was born in 1846 and is considered a main figure in the modern development of Burmese Buddhism. He personally had about 2.000 students and he delivered daily lectures. He established the monastery Leditawya and later several meditation centers around the country. This book is his legacy, and it deals with the core teachings of Buddha and explains and discusses a range of concepts such as causality, Nibbana, stages of enlightenment and the fifty-four kinds of Mental Phenomena. Do not be confused by the cover; the book is in English :-)
