The New Being by Paul Tillich is  a collection of sermons, unique in many ways. Paul Johannes Tillich was a German-American theologian and Christian existentialist philosopher. Tillich was one of the most influential Protestant theologians of the 20th century. He died 22. october 1965 – precisely 95 years after the birth Puran Singh.  Tillich developed of Christology, with Christ as the New Being. He had a long fascination with other religions, Buddhism in particular, and was charged by some critics of relegating Christianity to a secondary status.  The sermons draw from passages in the scriptures that inspired Tillich toward a fuller development of themes of love, reconciliation, liberation, understanding of the Bible and fulfillment.
